This year’s challenge has raised £7,000 for the Chestnut Tree Hospice and the total is still going up.
With a record 386 entrants this year the rain only succeeded in reducing slightly the numbers that turned out on the day. And two weeks later the organisers joined two local junior cycle clubs and did the 30 miles with them taking the numbers over 400.
And everyone enjoyed it (even the organisers). So much so that even before the last rider was home plans were afoot for next year so watch this web space.
