A group of pupils from Shoreham College visited the Chestnut Tree Hospice during it’s open week in September. They received a warm welcome from all the staff and were given a guided tour. They also took the opportunity to hand over the cheque for the money raised from the 2008 event.
Visiting the Hospice
One 12 year old pupil who rode the full 30 miles in 2008 has vowed to do at least 40 miles this year by turning round when he gets back to Bramber and setting out again. Aidan said
“I had a great day at the 2008 Downs Link Challenge. I was then lucky enough to be invited along to Chestnut Tree House to see how the money we raised is being used.
Seeing Chestnut Tree House made me decide to cycle even further this year and hopefully raise more money so the people there can continue their very important work.”
