Riders and Walkers depart from Bramber Castle (get map to Bramber from links page) in groups at various times depending on the distance they intend to cover. Those riders intending to do 30 miles depart at 8 a.m. with those doing 5 miles leaving at 10am (see Start Times). All go north along the Downs Link where marshals will provide refreshment and encouragement along the way.

There are designated turning points at 2.5, 5, 10 and 15 miles to give the target distances but riders and walkers can turn whenever they wish. The aim is for everyone to return to Bramber Castle in time for lunch and enjoy a picnic in the beautiful surroundings.

There is an entrance fee of £8 per person or £25 for a family of 2+2 (under 5 free but donations gratefully received). Over the last two years the costs of running the event have been met through sponsorship from the Association and local companies. With sponsorship this year from Rabbit Skips and other local companies (please visit our sponsors page) we are confident we can achieve the same in 2008 and again all of the entrance fee will go to the Chestnut Tree House. We also encourage all those taking part to seek sponsorship as well.
